1. A £25 million whisky distillery is to be built on the grounds of a castle owned by the Duke of Argyll.
Stock Spirits Group, the owner of Clan Campbell whisky, and Argyll Estates have submitted plans to build the distillery on the grounds of Inveraray Castle.
The plan is for a 950 sq m distillery, which will be capable of producing up to two million litres of alcohol per year.
