5 things to do this week in Scotland: from Fringe by the Sea to the world’s biggest cycle event
Do you find the capital a bit overwhelming in August? Head for this pretty East Lothian seaside town for a more laid-back taste of comedy, music, children’s shows and more. Dara Ó Briain, Dylan Moran and Susie McCabe are some of the comics appearing, and there will be sessions with writers such as Maggie O’Farrell, Hollie McNish, Michael Pedersen and Denise Mina. Groove Armada are back with a DJ set, and there’s music from Travis, Sister Sledge and Peat & Diesel. If you would prefer to join workshops, walking tours or yoga sessions there are loads to choose from. There’s a street food village if you’d like a tasty bite near the beach.
