74 players have scored for Celtic in a Scottish Cup Final
In the Bhoys’ previous 60 Scottish Cup Finals (including the never finished 1909 game), the Celts have a positive goal difference of +48, having scored 124 times whilst conceding 76.
Celtic’s most prolific scorer is Jimmy Quinn. Not only did he grab eight goals, he did this in five separate seasons (six games in total, including a replay).
He is ahead of Jimmy McGrory and Sandy McMahon, who each netted five final goals for the Bhoys.
Quinn is also notable as the first Celt to score a Scottish Cup Final hat-trick (in 1904), a feat that was repeated by Dixie Deans almost seven decades later.

Excluding own-goals (which have benefitted Celtic on six occasions), Unsurprisingly, most of these 74 players have been Scottish (56 in total). Based on international team, players from 14 other nations have also found the net for the Celts in Scotland’s showpiece cup final:
Ireland (2), Netherlands, Sweden, Wales (2), Guinea, Bulgaria, England (2), Cameroon (2), South Korea, Australia, France, Japan, Israel, Portugal…
Celtic’s 2023 victory over Inverness Caley Thistle saw three new countries added to this list, with Kyogo (Japan), Abada (Israel) and Jota (Portugal) being on target.
Saturday’s game offers Celtic the chance to again add to this figure, should there be goals from people such as Cameron Carter-Vickers (USA), Alastair Johnston (Canada), Matt O’Riley (Denmark) and Nicholas Kuhn (Germany).
It would an especially positive day if Saturday witnessed all of these nationalities joining the ranks of Celtic scorers. But a 1-0 win with an own-goal sealing victory for the Bhoys would do just as well.
