A unique opportunity to live and work on the beautiful Isle of Skye has become available.

The Duisdale House Hotel is currently seeking a food and beverage assistant to join its team, with staff accommodation available for the successful applicant. Situated on Skye’s spectacular Sleat peninsula, the award-winning hotel is housed within a former Victorian mansion.

The job itself will be on a fixed-term contract lasting until October 31, making it ideal for Scots looking for a summer job. The salary is £12 per hour and while experience in a similar role is “preferred”, it is not required.

Among the responsibilities of the role will be delivering “exceptional service” to the hotel’s guests, answering questions and queries, and processing payments. Key requirements include a passion for hospitality and “fantastic” communication skills.

You will also work closely with all other hotel departments and central support functions to ensure the overall success of the business.”
