Scots Gladiator star Sheli McCoy branded ‘beautiful’ as she poses in gym wear
GLADIATOR star Sheli McCoy looked stunning as she posed in gym wear ahead of the reboot of the iconic show.
She is starring in the competition as Sabre and will feature alongside a stellar line-up of athletes and sports stars.
The show begins on BBC One tonight and will feature 11 60-minute long episodes.
Ahead of the launch, the Scot showed off her toned physique in a snap shared with her 100,000 Instagram followers.
Sheli wore a blue sports bra and leggings as she flexed her muscles for the camera.
The weightlifting champion, from Dundee, captioned the picture: “Blonde and blue is such a good match!
“What’s your hair colour and what colour goes well? (Guys you too)”
Fans of the fitness-mad Gladiator flocked to social media to compliment her look.
One person wrote: “You and any colour is a good match!”
Another said: “Absolutely gorgeous.”
A third gushed: “Beautiful girl.”
A fourth weighed in: “You look stunning.”
Sheli runs a gym in Dundee called SweatBox and has previously opened up about being a female business owner.
She told inov-8 in an interview: “I won’t let myself believe my gender specifically plays a role in my challenges of being a business person or a gym owner.
“I believe if I show up, work hard and build a team of talented individuals to provide the best of service and care then gender is immaterial.”
Sheli has made no secret of how much being a part of the Gladiators reboot means to her, and how much of a fan of the original show she was as a youngster.
The star told the BBC ahead of her debut on the show: “I was a very little, hopeful girl and my mum and dad loved Gladiators.
“I would get my hair washed on a Saturday and sit down and my mum would brush and plait my hair while we all watched Gladiators.
“I remember Powerball, The Wall..I remember Jet and Lightning, and Nightshade. And I genuinely remember feeling that these women were superheroes; they were the female version of Superman and everyone loved them.”
