Ardersier Port gets £100m for redevelopment as offshore wind hub

1. The transformation of Ardersier Port into a hub for offshore wind has taken a further step forward after the owners secured £100 million of new funding.
The Scottish National Investment Bank, owned by the Scottish government, and the UK Infrastructure Bank, overseen by Westminster, are putting up £50 million each in a joint credit facility.
Haventus, the Ardersier owner, secured a commitment of £300 million from the energy investment firm Quantum Capital Group last year.
The latest credit facility will help to underpin the re-establishment of the port, with construction work on a new 650-metre quay already having started.
In the 1970s Ardersier, which lies northeast of Inverness
