Star Trek’s Chris Pine delights staff at Isle of Bute coffee house
Hollywood actor Chris Pine delighted staff at an Isle of Bute coffee house on Wednesday as he stopped by for his caffeine fix.
The American actor – known for his role as Captain James T Kirk in the rebooted Star Trek film series – is currently holidaying in Scotland and posed for a photo with staff at the Isle of Bute Coffee shop as he waited for his hot beverage.
Sharing the snap of their exciting visitor, the @isleofbutecoffee took to Instagram.
They wrote: “Bute Coffee is Chris Pine approved
“Our FOH Amanda had the pleasure of caffeinating Chris and pals while they visited Bute (and of course had to ask for a pic too ) We hope he enjoyed Bute; we enjoyed having him at our Bonnie Bling Brew Bar.”
The actor was recently spotted touching down into Scotland last weekend, as the Don’t Worry Darling star was snapped at Glasgow Airport on Sunday.
Previously, Chris has praised Scotland stating that he enjoyed filming in the country and even kept up the local dialect after filming for The Outlaw King.
The star told The Graham Norton Show how he continued to use the accent he learned for the role after filming each day.
He said: “I figured I’d get crucified for it but I had a wonderful voice coach and the cast were all Scottish so I figured they would pick me up on things. I am not a method actor, but I would keep up the accent in the pub after filming.”
When talking about his love for the nation, Chris said: “I stayed at this lovely mini castle just outside Glasgow all summer. Then we were shooting in Talisker Bay.
“We travelled two hours through the bush in the Highlands and came out in this valley, which opened up to a beach with huge cliffs on either side and waterfalls crashing into the water. It was perfect majesty.
“In the shot, it looks like the waterfalls are going uphill with the wind pushing it – and that’s no CGI. Talisker Bay at sunset was one of the top three visual moments of my career.”
