Scottish teen’s Xbox alerts family to fire minutes before it rips through home

A Scottish schoolboy was able to quickly rescue his family from a devastating fire after his Xbox cut out leading to him discovering the blaze.

Brodie Trayner, 16, was with his girlfriend Freya when suddenly the console cut out on them, he raced outside of his bedroom on May 10 and spotted smoke coming from his parents room.

At first the teenager, from Cupar in Fife, thought there may have been a fault with the electrics, but after seeing the smoke, he ran to alert his dad, Paul, who was working downstairs, the Daily Record reports.
