Man’s body found in Scots church grounds as police probe unexplained death
A death probe is underway after a body was found in the grounds of a Scots church. Officers from Police Scotland are investigating after the man was discovered in Perth.
Officers raced to St Mary Magdalene Church, in the city’s Glenearn Road, at 2.20pm on Saturday after the alarm was raised. The scene was locked down as the emergency services began to investigate.
Police say the death is being treated as unexplained.
A source said: “The grounds of the church were cordoned off as officers at the scene stood guard. The guy was found within the grounds of the church, so that’s where they started looking at straight away.”
