Todd Cantwell trolled by Celtic stars with shushburger ammo amid celebrations

Celtic’s stars will be enjoying their night as they celebrate a Premiership and Scottish Cup double – but they’ve still found time to rub Todd Cantwell’s face in it.

The Hoops beat Rangers today, making it four wins and a draw from this season’s derbies, as they continued their dominance of Scottish football and made it a double for this season. There were celebrations last week after wrapping up the league and that will no doubt be the case again tonight.

However, there is one opposition player in particular who is still in their thoughts as they toast their success. Unsurprisingly that is Cantwell. The attacking midfielder has been such a divisive figure since arriving in Scottish football and has been making headlines again in recent weeks.

After ‘shushing’ his own fans following his goal against Hearts on the final day of the league season, he posted a picture of his celebration online and captioned it ‘Shushburger please’. That earned him plenty of criticism for continually doing his talking on social media.

The Scotland star innocently shared a picture of the squad with the trophy and wrote “Special club.” But teammate Alistair Johnston cheekily asked in the comments: “Eating a shushburger tonight wee man?”

Taylor responded with a string of laughing and ‘shush’ emojis while Stephen Welsh got involved and wrote: “No chance.” Former Hoops stars like Shane Duffy and Tony Watt were in touch in the comments to congratulate Taylor in the victory.

Meanwhile, Cantwell has already had a ribbing over the shushburger stuff from nemesis Chris Sutton. And in a previously unseen moment, he was SHOVED by boss Philippe Clement while trying to remonstrate with the officials at full time.
