West Coats Primary School receives glowing report from education inspectors

West Coats Primary School in Cambuslang has received a glowing report from inspectors.

The report from Education Scotland said that children “know they are valued and are proud members of their school community”.

The staff, led by the head teacher, have also successfully improved links with parents and the wider school community which has improved attendance and the quality of the pupils’ experiences at the school.

Better progress is also being made, improving outcomes in writing and for children who require additional support with their learning.

Head teacher Kirsty Duff said: “We are very proud of the positive inspection report at West Coats, particularly that the HMI team recognised very positive and nurturing relationships across the school community.
