Five things to do this week in Scotland: from arts festivals to the Highland Games
You can still catch the Foodies Festival in Edinburgh this weekend, then it’s Glasgow Southside’s turn to be elegantly greedy next weekend. Sagar Massey — one of the most inventive MasterChef: the Professionals finalists — will be sharing some of his skills, as will the show’s 2016 winner Gary Maclean, the Pompadour’s Dean Banks and several other cooks at the top of their game. Want some healthy food inspiration? Or ways to give your children more confidence in the kitchen? Or maybe just glorious baking, cocktails and artisan food? It’s all here, with live music from acts including Scouting for Girls, Callum Beattie and an Abba tribute band.
