Viewers chance to nominate Scotland’s Greatest Escape celebrating the best

Scotland’s Great Escape will be back on screens and viewers have their chance to nominate the very best holiday escapes that Scotland has to offer.

The BBC Scotland series will celebrate the places that go above and beyond to bring their guests an outstanding experience.

The show – which has been recommissioned to return with Grado going in search of must visit getaways across Scotland – needs your help to find the best of the best.

They’re asking you to nominate your favourite Scottish escape, whether it’s an incredible coastal caravan park, a breathtaking highland cottage, or a sensational city B&B.

A spokesperson said:”If you’ve stayed somewhere great and feel they deserve to be crowned Scotland’s Greatest Escape, nominate them.

“Or perhaps you own or work at a top tourist escape that deserves recognition. If so, let us know, and nominate yourself for the award.

“Whether you’ve been a guest at, or run a fantastic Scottish escape, we want to hear from you.

“We’re looking for exceptionality, not luxury, so we don’t need to know how much you paid, just that you had a great time there.”

A few things to note before you make your nomination.

If you’re nominating your favourite escape:

• You must have stayed there within the last five years (we need to know your experience was fairly recent)
• The place you are nominating must be based in Scotland and have bookable accommodation for an overnight stay

If you’re self-nominating:

• Your business must be based in Scotland and have bookable accommodation for an overnight stay

You have until 11:59pm on Sunday July 2 to make your nomination. Following your nomination, all nominees will be asked to complete a short application form, which organisers kindly ask to be submitted no later than 11:59pm on Sunday July 16.
