DX Group expands parcel handling capacity in Scotland – Parcel and Postal Technology International
Delivery solutions provider DX Group has moved to a new 4,000ft2 depot in Aberdeen, Scotland, that will enable it to increase its capacity for its parcels operations.
The new site, which is located on J Badentoy Business Centre in Portlethen, will improve operational efficiencies, reduce stem mileages and carbon emissions and enhance customer service levels.
Paul Ibbetson, chief executive officer of DX Group, commented, “The current financial year is a major year of investment across the group. This latest depot opening in Aberdeen provides a much improved facility and significantly increases our capability in the area for our parcels operations. It also delivers further efficiencies alongside environmental and customer service benefits.
“Enlarging and improving the depot network underpins the continued successful delivery of our growth plans over the short to medium term. We look forward to reporting on further openings over the coming months.”
DX Group has also recently opened its first depot in Ireland and two ‘supersites’ in Middleton in the northwest of the UK and London Heathrow.
