Scotland Euro foes Germany have two stars ‘almost come to blows’ at training

Scotland’s Euro foes Germany reportedly had two players who “almost came to blows” during a heated training session this afternoon.

The tournament hosts are under a bit of pressure given the magnitude of the competition as well as some of their performances in the build up and results at times. Manager Julian Nagelsmann has also come under fire for some of his personnel choices for the upcoming games and the nerves before Friday evening’s game against Steve Clarke’s Scots may well be getting to them.

According to outlet Bild, Real Madrid’s Antonio Rudiger and Niclas Fullkrug of Borussia Dortmund had to be separated by their teammates after a tussle for possession during a fiery session on the grass.

The publication reports the pair had been at each other’s throats when Fullkrug swore at his squad mate on the deck which saw Rudiger take offence.

After a water break the pair were still believed to be “frustrated” with the situation.

Scots will hope to take advantage of any sort of mindset questions within the opposition camp when they go head to head in Munich in the 8pm kick-off on Friday night.
