Tartan Army chief creates unique Scotland Lederhosen outfit to wear in Germany

A Tartan Army diehard has made his own unique collection of Scotland Lederhosen to wear with his pals in Germany.

Chris ‘Gibbo’ Gibson, 48, will rock a completely new look when he heads to the Euros, combining the traditional Bavarian outfit with the dark blue of the national team.




His very own Tartan Army Ledershosen are set to make their mark on the tournament. The dungarees-style dress wear, are dedicated to the North East Tartan Army, which Chris, from Peterhead founded in 2016.

The unique Lederhosen feature the North East Tartan Army badge, with the words “Kein Schottland, keine Party,” emblazoned across the chest strap, which translates to the famous Tartan Army’s chant, “No Scotland, no Party.”

Chris has told how 20 of his mates have been brave enough to pack the Lederhosen which they plan on wearing as their ‘leisurewear’ during the trip.

Chris told the Record: “We’ve got 100 odd members, and we’ve got about 20 of us who will have the Lederhosen on, not everyone’s brave enough to wear it.

“As soon as Scotland qualified I thought we need to get them made.

“The original ones are leather which wouldn’t be ideal for sitting around the sun in.
