Five things to do in Scotland this week — from Warhol to Wonka
If you’ve seen the glorious film Wonka, which tells the story of Roald Dahl’s inventive confectioner’s early life, and are craving more, you are in luck.
This touring musical goes back to the original tale of the little boy who wins a golden ticket to visit Willy Wonka’s incredible factory, along the way meeting some of the most greedy, spoilt children who get suitably Dahlesque comeuppances. Expect several songs from the 1971 Gene Wilder film, as well as a few new numbers put together by the Hairspray songwriters.
