House-hunters at show home event help raise funds for St Andrew’s Hospice

House-hunters came in their droves to an exclusive show home opening event at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland’s eagerly awaited Calder Wynd development in Carnbroe.

Families and prospective eager buyers brought their cherished teddies to a Teddy Bear’s Picnic and afternoon tea and raised over £750 for St Andrew’s Hospice.

Visitors also had their first opportunity to view two stylish show homes at the development – the Fraser and Maxwell four bedroom detached houses – and there was a range of activities for families to enjoy, including storytelling, face painting, balloon modelling, a teddy bear hunt, and the chance to meet a giant balloon bear.

Guests at the event were also encouraged to guess how many balloons it took to create the giant balloon bear.

Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “We don’t just build new homes; we support the communities where we build, and our show home launch event was an ideal opportunity for us to raise funds for St Andrew’s Hospice, our local charity partner that receives £25 per new home sold in phase one at the development.

“I am delighted that so many house-hunters and members of the local community came along to our official show home launch to help us raise additional funds for such an incredible local service.

“For house-hunters who didn’t manage to visit our launch event, our show homes are open from Thursday to Monday each week, so prospective buyers can pop in to have a look around and be inspired to make their next move.
