Urgent search for three children missing after day out at Thorpe Park
An urgent search is under way for three children who were reported missing after a day out at Thorpe Park on Monday.
Surrey Police said the children “may have travelled to London” after they were last seen walking towards Staines from the park in Chertsey.
Officers are scouring for Khandi, 14, Amelia, 9, and Malik, 7, who went missing just after 7pm.
“Khandi is described as female, Black, 160cm tall, of a slim build and was wearing black or grey jogging bottoms, a white top, white trainers, black framed glasses, and multiple bracelets on each wrist,” the force said on Tuesday.
“Amelia is described as female, European, 110cm tall, of a slim build and wearing grey jogging bottoms, a grey long-sleeved top with “Believe” written on it and white trainers.
“Malik is described as male, European, 110cm tall, of a slim build and wearing black jogging bottoms, black trainers, and a green long-sleeved top with stripes.”
The two youngest children are related.
All three were last seen walking away from the park towards Staines town centre around 3.17pm.
It is believed they may have travelled to London, Surrey Police said.
If you have seen these three children, or have any information as to their whereabouts, contact Surrey Police quoting PR/45240068376.
Their disappearance comes after riders were stuck on board Hyperia for an hour at the theme park on Saturday, according to the BBC.
The ride opened on May 24 and is the UK’s tallest and fastest rollercoaster.
Last Monday the Liberal Democrats leader paid a visit to the theme park.
Sir Ed Davey could be seen spinning in a teacup ride following the launch of the Lib Dem manifesto, where he called politics a “rollercoaster ride”.
