Scotland Euro star explains his hair secrets and where he got fear of heights
THE chance for Scotland to qualify from the group stages of a major competition for the first time ever is a serious old business.
But two Scotland stars looked on the lighter side of things last night ahead of their date with destiny against Hungary.
Stuart Armstrong‘s hair has been a sense of fascination for some since at least his days at Celtic.
And the midfielder gave an insight into his routine in a light-hearted interview for the SFA’s Scotland HQ show on YouTube – in the company of Ryan Christie.

“I don’t have any secret recipe. The hairdryer is a big help. There’s a special technique.
“I see some boys using the hairdryer all wrong.”
On the fear of heights, host Telfer asked: “You mentioned about going up to the top of the mountain in a cable car. Was that something you enjoyed?”
Armstrong, born in Inverness and schooled at Hazlehead in Aberdeen, replied said: “I loved it personally – unless Ryan spoke to you before!
“I am scared of heights.
“Where did that come from? Probably from sitting up the top tier at Pittodrie when I was younger!
“Me and John Carver are a little afraid of the heights and they had this glass panel on the bottom of the cable car and we were just sitting in the corner, looking away with our hoods up.”
They then showed a picture of Armstrong wearing his shades on the top of the Zugspitze.
He said: “Wow. And I’ve just been sick in the bathroom before that!”
