Stuart Hogg arrested again as Scotland rugby star in court today

Former Scotland rugby captain Stuart Hogg has been arrested for breaching bail conditions amid his upcoming trial over domestic abuse allegations against his wife.

The 32-year-old was arrested at a property in Hawick on Tuesday afternoon, July 2, and he is due to appear at Jedburgh Sheriff Court today (July 3).




Hogg was first arrested in February and faces a total of three charges which he denies relating to his behaviour towards the mother of his four children who he is separated from. The trial is fixed for July 30.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2pm on Tuesday, 2 July, 2024, officers attended at an address in Hawick and a 32-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with a breach of bail.

“He is due to appear at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 3 July.”
