CIH Scotland’s Big Conversation event returns for 2024
The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Scotland has announced the return of its Big Conversation event, in partnership with Fife Council, which brings together young and upcoming housing professionals to consider and discuss the most important issues facing Scotland’s housing sector, as well as providing advice and tips on career progression, developing skills and leadership.
The event is completely free for CIH members and will take place on Wednesday 27 November at the Carnegie Conference Centre in Dunfermline.
CIH Scotland’s national director Callum Chomczuk, said: “We are delighted to be partnering once again with Fife Council to bring you our in person Big Conversation event, which is free and exclusive for CIH members.
“This event is aimed primarily at young housing professionals, and those who are new to the sector, and provides a fantastic opportunity for delegates to grow their networks, develop their communication skills, and discuss the housing issues that matter most to them.
“We’ve put together an exciting programme with a focus on career progression, developing skills, and leadership, as well as discussing the biggest challenges facing the sector, including Scotland’s housing emergency, so, if you’re a young housing professional or are just starting out in your housing career, this is one event you don’t want to miss.”
John Mills, Fife Council’s head of housing services, welcomed the return of the Big Conversation to Dunfermline.
He said: “At this time of a national housing emergency, we need to spend time discussing with young housing professionals how they wish to shape their future to continue the effort to ensure that everyone has access to good, affordable housing options for the next 20 years.
“The Big Conversation is an ideal opportunity to hear from you about how we best seek to do this.”
