The resurgence of James Rodriguez continues to captivate Copa América 🇨🇴
More Copa América action continues on Saturday and Colombia are up and running against Panama thanks to one man.
The former Golden Boy of Colombian football, James Rodriguez, has arguably become the tournament’s unlikely star.
Despite his club-level struggles, the captain had three assists before the quarter-final on Saturday and added a fourth when an inch-perfect corner kick delivered the opener on a platter.
Immediately after, Rodriguez scored from the penalty spot to double Colombia’s lead after only 15 minutes of action.
The team’s third goal then arrived thanks to more of his brilliance as he sent Luis Diaz through on goal and the Liverpool ace chipped home.
He’s now the first Colombian to have five assists at any major tournament.
At this tournament specifically, he’s the first to hit five goal involvements just ahead of Lautaro Martinez and Salomon Rondon.
These are vintage performances from the 32-year-old!
