The new Premiership star unveiled by drag queen in bizarre announcement video
TRANSFER announcements are part of the fun of the window, with clubs often looking to outdo one another with their wacky videos.
But one new Scottish Premiership star surely takes the title of the weirdest announcement video from his unveiling at his previous club.
Denis Adeniran has joined St Mirren as Stephen Robinson‘s sixth signing of a busy summer.
He arrives from Israeli Premier League club Hapoel Petah Tikva, who he signed for on 31 January this year.
Despite the move coming late in the window, HPT showed off impressive improvisation with a creative announcement video.
It features a drag queen surrounded by backing dancers, singing about how the team was waiting for his arrival and intercut with clips of Adeniran saying “I’m coming”.

St Mirren poked fun at the video prior to announcing Adeniran, posting on X, formerly Twitter: “All the boys are waiting just for you…”, a line repeated by the singer in HPT’s video.
Adeniran went to school with Toyosi Olusanya – now he’s hoping they can make the grade together at St Mirren.
English midfielder Adeniran has penned a one-year contract with the Buddies after playing 45 minutes as a trialist in their win over Morton on Tuesday night.
He came through the ranks at Fulham and has also had spells at Everton and Sheffield Wednesday.
The ex-England youth international will have familiar faces in the dressing room after being a pupil alongside forward Olusanya in London and playing with defender Jaden Brown at the Owls.
Adeniran, 25, said: “I spoke to Jaden because he was here last season and he had nothing but good things to say about the club.
“I actually went to school with Toyosi as well so I know two of them.
“But all the lads have been brilliant and welcoming since I’ve been here so it’s a good changing room.”
Home fans are set to see Adeniran in action tomorrow when Stephen Robinson’s side play a friendly Fleetwood in Paisley.
He said: “It’s a good opportunity for me to come back home and get started again and show the fans and people what I’m about.
“I think there was interest there a few weeks ago and obviously with the attraction of European football and the way the gaffer wants to play and his aspirations for this season, it just fitted perfectly to what I need right now in my career.
“From the looks of it, it’s a good club to get started with.
“It’s a good opportunity playing in the top division against big teams, playing in Europe and a fantastic set-up.

“The manager wants me to just enjoy it again because I’ve had a tough time this last year being abroad.
“I’m a hard-working player, I like to have the ball at my feet but I also like working hard, I’m explosive, dynamic and score a goal or two.”
