SNY’s Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez, and Ron Darling named best booth in baseball

SNY’s Mets announcers Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez, and Ron Darling have been named the best booth in MLB for the 2024 season.

The list was compiled by Awful Announcing after over 13,000 votes were cast, with the Mets booth the favorite among every one in MLB.

“After a decade in the top five, their rank never decreasing, and an always respectable score, the beloved New York Mets broadcast team has finally topped our rankings with their best score ever.” Awful announcing wrote.

The San Francisco Giants‘ booth came in second, while the San Diego Padres‘ booth came in third.

Cohen (play-by-play), Hernandez (color analyst), and Darling (color analyst) — who are joined in broadcasts by Mets field reporter Steve Gelbs — have been together in SNY’s booth since the inception of the network in 2006.
