Mets signing OF Jackie Bradley Jr.
The Mets are bolstering their outfield depth, signing Jackie Bradley Jr. to a minor league deal, per multiple reports.
Bradley will report to Triple-A Syracuse.
The 34-year-old had been playing for the Independent League Long Island Ducks, where he was in the middle of a 28-game hitting streak.
During the streak, Bradley was hitting .471 with a .537 OBP.
Bradley last played in the majors in 2023 for the Kansas City Royals, where he slashed just .133/.188/.210 in 43 games.
A defensive stalwart in center field during his prime with the Boston Red Sox, Bradley was an All-Star in 2016 and won a Gold Glove in 2018.
In 11 big league seasons with the Royals, Toronto Blue Jays, Red Sox, and Milwaukee Brewers, Bradley has hit .225/.303/.381.
He was a plus defender as recently as last season, when he was worth 4 DRS.
