Ferencvaros vs Tottenham: Europa League prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h, odds today

Tottenham are in Budapest tonight as they face Ferencvaros in their second fixture in the new-look Europa League.

Spurs travel to the Hungarian champions having beaten Qarabag 3-0 in their opening game last week, despite an early red card for defender Radu Dragusin.

It was the perfect start for Ange Postecoglou’s side despite the early dismissal and the fact that kick-off in north London was delayed due to severe travel disruption, followed up by a 3-0 thrashing of woeful Manchester United at Old Trafford that means Ange Postecoglou’s in-form side have now won four games in a row across all competitions since those back-to-back Premier League losses to Newcastle and Arsenal.

Ferencvaros, meanwhile, lost 2-1 to 10-man Anderlecht in their first game of the European campaign, though top their domestic league again with six wins from six so far.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Ferencvaros vs Tottenham is scheduled for a 5:45pm BST kick-off time today on Thursday October 3, 2024.

The Groupama Arena (Ferencvaros Stadion) in Budapest, Hungary will host the match.

Ferencvaros vs Tottenham team news

Tottenham will be without centre-back Dragusin, who serves the first game of a three-match European ban for his sending off against Qarabag last week.

Postecoglou will be keen to give Lucas Bergvall another start after being sacrificed just minutes into the 3-0 win due to the red card. Archie Gray should also again get the nod.

Captain Heung-min Son and Destiny Udogie have both stayed behind due to injury, with forwards Richarlison and Wilson Odobert also out.

Ferencvaros vs Tottenham prediction

Given how easily Spurs overcame Qarabag with 10 men, they look more than capable of claiming an away win against one of the weaker teams in the competition.

The hosts will aim to stifle Spurs and have all the support in the stands, but experience should shine through in Hungary.

Spurs to win, 2-0.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

The two teams have never previously met in competitive competition.
