A-listers out in force for Dior’s first Scottish show in 70 years – Prolific North

A-Listers were out in force last night as fashion giant Dior returned to Scotland after a 70-year absence to launch its 2025 Cruise Collection.

Jennifer Lawrence, Lily Collins and Anya Taylor-Joy were among the big names joining the legendary French fashion house in the gardens of Drummond Castle, near Crieff at a star-studded event which which also welcomed Good Will Hunting star Minnie Driver and Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams in the front row, along with Emily in Paris’ Lily Collins, and Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.

Ahead of the show, celebrities gathered at Gleneagles hotel where they enjoyed champagne and nibbles in celebration of the French fashion house’s return to the country for the first time since 1955, when Christian Dior himself took his show to the luxury hotel in Auchterarder.

Dior’s collection, by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri included collaborations with Harris Tweed, Johnstons of Elgin, Esk Cashmere and Robert Mackie who have made traditional ceremonial headwear worn by regiments and pipe bands.

Scotland’s national animal, the unicorn, provided the inspiration for the collection and the thistle, another symbol of the country, also featured.

Guests were given Dior limited edition blankets, featuring images of the previous Scottish collection from 1955, to keep them warm in the castle grounds as the she show took place.
