A9 at Slochd Summit Carriageway Improvements – BEAR Scotland

• Works to begin Tuesday 11 June

• Convoy with two-way traffic lights in place

On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential road improvement works on the A9 at Slochd Summit beginning Tuesday 11 June 2024.

Works will take place over a total of 19 nights from Tuesday 11 June until Saturday 6 July between 19:00 and 06:00. No works will take place on Saturday or Sunday nights.

During the works, the A9 single carriageway at Slochd Summit will be subject to a traffic management system of temporary two-way traffic lights with convoy.

A reduced speed limit of 10mph will be setup on the approach to the site and traffic will be guided through the works by the convoy vehicle.

During non-working hours, the temporary traffic management measures will be lifted. Throughout the day, a 30mph speed limit will be in effect as a temporary surface and ramps will be in use.

Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
