Ange Postecoglou to return to Scotland as Hearts announce Spurs friendly

Former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou will take his Tottenham Hotspur side to Edinburgh this summer after Hearts announced a friendly against the Premier League giants.

Postecoglou won two league titles, two League Cups and the Scottish Cup in two seasons as Celtic manager before moving to London last summer.

He will now lead out a team of Premier League stars at Tynecastle for a match that forms part of Hearts’ 150th anniversary celebrations.

The teams will meet on July 17 at 7pm in a match that both teams will use as part of their preparations for next season.

Hearts finished last season in third place in the Premiership and are guaranteed European group stage football next season.

Should they progress from the Europa League play-off, they could then face Spurs again in the group stage of the competition after Postecgolou guided the team into Europe with a fifth-placed finish in the league.
