Avalanche Lose Kaapo Kahkonen Off Waivers To The Winnipeg Jets
After only playing one game for the Colorado Avalanche goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen is going back to the Winnipeg Jets.
Kahkonen, 28, was placed on waivers by the Winnipeg Jets in October, in which the Colorado Avalanche claimed him off waivers.
TRANSACTIONS: The #NHLJets have claimed G – Kaapo Kahkonen off waivers and loaned him to the Manitoba Moose (AHL).

Now, the oft traveled Kahkonen is headed back to Winnipeg after being scooped up by his former team after the Avalanche placed him on waivers yesterday.

Kahkonens’ lone appearance with the Avalanche came on October 30th against the Tampa Bay Lightning in a 5-2 loss, in which Kahkonen surrendered 4 goals on 20 shots.
In 140 career games split between the Minnesota Wild, San Jose Sharks, New Jersey Devils and the Colorado Avalanche, Kahkonen is 49-68-15 with a 3.34 goals against average and a .898 save percentage with 4 shutouts.
