BBC Scotland unveils plans for Election 2024 leaders debate – BBC News
BBC Scotland has announced its plans for an Election 2024 debate which will feature five party leaders.
The Debate Night special will be broadcast on BBC One Scotland at 20:00 on Tuesday 11 June, and will also be covered live on the BBC News website and app.
Hosted by Stephen Jardine, the hour-long programme will feature leaders from the SNP, Scottish Conservatives, Scottish Labour, Scottish Liberal Democrats and Scottish Greens.
It will give members of the public the chance to put their questions to the politicians.
STV is hosting the first Scottish leaders debate of the election campaign – which will not include the Greens – on Monday night.
There will be a comprehensive results service across TV, radio and online as the declarations come in through the night of 4 July and the following day.
Martin Geissler will present the results programme from 21:55, joined by Newsnight presenter Kirsty Wark, Reporting Scotland presenter Laura Miller and political correspondent David Wallace Lockhart.
The programme will be broadcast through the night on BBC One Scotland and Radio Scotland.
There will also be live Scottish coverage on the news website and app through the night and the following day.
Good Morning Scotland, presented by Gary Robertson and Laura Maxwell, will come on air at 05:00 on the Friday.
