Canadiens: Subban Takes to Social Media About the Hit On Laine
Former Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban has never been shy about expressing his opinion and being at the Habs vs. Toronto Maple Leafs game on Saturday, you just knew he was going to have something to say about it.

The exuberant defenseman provided the Bell Centre crowd with a rare reason to cheer on Saturday when he was shown on the scoreboard during the game.
Subban might have only played seven seasons in Montreal, but he’s still widely popular in town and his stance on the Cedric Pare hit on Patrik Laine is sure to make Canadiens fans like him even more.
The now ESPN employee asked where the respect was for NHL Superstars and it’s easy to see his point. You have a former 40-goal scorer trying to get his synchronism, his rhythm back who’s about to overtake a career AHLer and is stopped in the worst possible play.
I believe Cedric Pare when he says it wasn’t his intention to injure Laine, it looked like a split second reaction. He shouldn’t have been static like that in his own zone and because he was his in the moment reaction was to stick his knee out with the result we (partially) know.

I stand by my opinion that the pre-season needs to be fixed, there should be games to allow your real NHL players to get their synchronism back and scrimmages for those who have yet to make it and have a, let’s say more rugged, style of play.
The Canadiens practice will start at 10:30 and while in previous days, Laine was out on the ice half an hour before everyone else, he won’t be there today as we await confirmation of both the injury suffered and the course of action to follow.
