Car bursts into flames at Scottish roundabout as driver rushed to hospital

A driver has been rushed to hospital after a car burst into flames in Fife.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the incident at New Inn roundabout at around 2pm on Saturday, reports the Daily Record.




The car, understood to be a Fiat 500, was already ablaze when fire crews arrived.

The driver was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy and received treatment for minor injuries.

A photograph from the scene shows the vehicle enveloped by flames inside bushes on the roundabout as smoke billows into the sky.
