Car torched outside Scottish home during early-hours blaze as firefighters scramble

A car has been found torched after an early-hours blaze outside a Scottish home.

Firefighters were scrambled to the incident on Melville Close in Glenrothes, Fife, after receiving reports of a vehicle on fire at 3am on Saturday, reports The Daily Record.




The fire service attended for over 40 minutes before the blaze was put out.

Shocking video footage shows the car engulfed in flames, which ravaged through the vehicle during the early hours.


The fire could be seen gripping the motor near a number of homes. Images of the aftermath show the car destroyed as a result of the blaze.

A spokesperson from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to reports of a car on fire at 3am on Saturday, July 13. One appliance attended the incident and firefighters left at 3.46am.”
