Concern growing for missing Scots woman as cops launch search

Police have launched a search for a missing Rutherglen woman.

Michelle Conroy was last seen on Saturday, 18 May, 2024 in Mossgiel Avenue in Rutherglen and later spotted in Glasgow, around 5.55pm last night in the Queen’s Park at Queen’s Drive area.

She is described as around 5ft 1 in height, with a slim build and fair shoulder length hair.

When last seen, she was wearing a white t-shirt, pink jogging trousers and a pink jumper draped over her shoulders. Michelle has never gone missing before.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out and officers are continuing to review any relevant CCTV footage.

Inspector Liam Bryson said: “It is extremely unusual for Michelle not to be in touch with her family and friends and as there has been no contact from her, they are understandably concerned. I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Michelle or who may have information on her whereabouts to get in touch with us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 4156 of 18 May, 2024.
