‘Dream’ £60k job on Scotland’s most scenic railway and no experience is needed

A “dream” job opportunity to travel across Scotland’s stunning landscapes has become available, and no experience is required.

Scottish recruitment website HiJOBS.net has revealed that ScotRail is currently seeking trainee train drivers who will get to travel on some of Scotland’s most spectacular rail routes, with salaries of up to £60,000 on offer.

The positions, which are based in Fort William on Scotland’s breathtaking west coast, would be perfect for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and start over. The training salary will start at £32,968, before rising to £45,825 when newly qualified and later £58,028.

Among the routes that the successful candidates will travel along is the jaw-dropping West Highland Line, which is regularly voted as one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the world.

The route is famous for its magnificent landscapes, with views out across Ben Nevis, the rocky pinnacle of the Cobbler near Arrochar, and the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct that featured in the Harry Potter films.

Other benefits of the jobs includes final salary pension scheme and a generous holiday allowance, as well as free and reduced rate rail travel for employees and their families.
