First look inside Edinburgh Princes Street UNIQLO store ahead of grand opening
Excited shoppers are expected to gather en-masse this Thursday as Japanese fashion brand UNIQLO swings open the doors of its flagship Princes Street store for the first time.
One of the most eagerly-anticipated retail events of recent times in the capital, the new shop occupies the former BHS building which closed in 2016 after nearly 50 years.

The flagship store will be offering free alterations on any bottoms costing over £19.90 and have a new unique cafe Katsute100 which is the second of its kind in Uniqlo UK stores. Katsute100 is a Japanese tea salon.
As well as designing the Edinburgh store to cater for Scottish weather, it will also feature a RE.UNIQLO studio. The studio will be offering repairs to Uniqlo clothing, upcycling and an embroidering service. Customers will be able to have initials embroidered or choose from an array of icons or even use an app to draw their very own design. These designs can be put onto clothing or their popular round shoulder bag.
Founded in 1984, Uniqlo is a Japanese casual clothing store, with its first over sea’s stores opening in 2002. Since then the trendy brand has expanded around the world, with stores around the UK including Manchester, Oxford and London.
