Five things to do in Scotland this week — from cycling to Degas
While cycling festivals frequently focus on speed or challenging mountain experiences, this one celebrates all aspects of travelling in and around the capital on bikes. So, whether you cycle to get to work, for health, fun or any other reason, you will find something of interest here. There are practical workshops that cover everything from basic maintenance and teaching children how to ride to BMX skills and the law in relation to collisions. Or you could join a group ride ― including some just for women ― or find out more about cycling activism. There will be a Bikes for Refugees charity auction, which aims to help displaced people in Scotland to get around.
