Five things to do in Scotland this week — Life of Pi to Chloe Petts

How on earth do you depict on stage a story about a boy adrift on a boat with a tiger, an orangutan, a hyena and a zebra? The author Yann Martel won the Booker in 2002 for creating this scenario on the page, and a mesmerising film adaptation was released ten years later.

Now is your chance to see the theatre version that won five Olivier awards while it was playing in the West End. Don’t worry if you can’t be in Aberdeen because it’s heading for the central belt in the summer (Jun 18-22, Theatre Royal, Glasgow; Jun 25-29, Festival Theatre, Edinburgh).
