Five things to do in Scotland this week — theatre to festivals

It’s been a decade since the opening of the sculptor’s 100ft artworks that honour the contribution Clydesdale horses have made to Scottish working life. They are the largest equine sculptures on the planet. A day of celebrations to mark the anniversary will begin with free family-friendly activities including street theatre, circus performers, face painting, art and a local producers’ market. This is followed by an evening concert (tickets start from £24.50) that features: the singer and songwriter Callum Beattie; Scotland’s favourite bagrockers, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers; a jazzy electronica outfit, Rebecca Vasmant Ensemble, as well as a fire show from PyroCeltica.
