Former Sabres Forward Brutally Roasts Team
The Buffalo Sabres extended their winless streak to 12 games with their 6-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs last night. Things have been awful for the Sabres, and now one of their former players has even thrown shade at them.

After the Minnesota Wild dropped their third straight game, former Sabre Marcus Foligno had this to say about Buffalo, as reported by The Athletic’s Joe Smith:
“We’re fighting through it. We’re in a little bit of a sludge. I mean, I’d rather be in this position than Buffalo. So, you know what, it’s not that bad.”
Foligno throwing shade at the Sabres is certainly notable, as the club selected him with the 104th overall pick of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. In six seasons as a Sabre from 2011-12 to 2016-17, he had 49 goals, 116 points, and 1,023 hits in 347 games.
The Sabres will face off against Foligno and the Wild next on March 22.
