Former Buffalo Sabres forward Vinnie Hinostroza is among the NHL’s latest players available, as the Nashville Predators have placed him on waivers.
Hinostroza, 30, signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Predators during the off-season. The Chicago, Illinois was looking to earn a spot on the Predators’ opening night roster, but he did not make the cut.
Hinostroza spent this past season with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization. In 14 games for Pittsburgh on the campaign, he had one goal, three points, and a minus-3 rating. He spent most of the year down in the AHL with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, recording 16 goals, 35 points, and a plus-1 rating in 42 games.
Hinostroza played with the Sabres for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons. In 88 games as a Sabre, he had 15 goals and 36 points.
