Hutchison, hailing from Hicksville, N.Y., spent the past three seasons with the Pioneers, where he scored seven goals and added 27 assists for 34 points in 73 games.
Before heading to Sacred Heart, Hutchison played junior hockey with the Penticton Vees (BCHL), the Chicago Steel (USHL) and the Tri-City Storm (USHL).
In between playing for the Vees and Storm, Hutchison spent six games with the University of Vermont where he collected an assist.
As Hutchison heads to Miami, he could be a diamond in the rough for the team. During the 2022-23 season, Hutchison put up 20 points in 34 games from the backend and if he can find that form again, the Redhawks will be very happy.
