Former Wild Enforcer Fined By The NHL

NHL Player Safety has announced on Monday that former Minnesota Wild forward Pat Maroon was fined the maximum allowable fine under the current CBA ($3,385.42) for elbowing Dallas Stars forward Mavrik Bourque.

Maroon, 36, was acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning by the Wild before the 2023-24 season for a seventh-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.

The 6-foot-3 forward played in 49 games for the Wild where he had four goals, 16 points, six fights, 60 penalty minutes, and 71 hits.

He was later traded to the Boston Bruins at the deadline for Luke Toporowski and a sixth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.

After the season, Maroon signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks.
