The Role
The Head of Property Management will play a key role in delivering Bield’s short and long-term strategic goals and shaping the direction of the organisation for the future. The post-holder will have overall responsibility for the effective day to day management of our property management function which includes our Repairs Service and our Compliance activities. The Head of Property Management will have responsibility to continually improve Bield’s property management services ensuring our stock is compliant, high quality and meets the needs of our customers. As a leader for compliance and value for money, the Head of Property Management will lead on innovation, best practice, and build strong partnerships through effective management and procurement. The Head of Property Management will have strong people management skills and will be somebody who can build teams and shape change. They will also work collaboratively with colleagues in their role within Bield’s Leadership Team and play a leading role in moving Bield into an extremely ambitious and innovative period for the organisation.
The Candidate
This is key appointment, requiring a candidate with a track record of operating in a management role delivering strategic and operational results within a property management function of similar size and scope to Bield. The successful candidate will have an appetite to drive business growth and shape the future direction of the team and demonstrate inclusive leadership and a commitment to knowledge transfer and investing in shared experience. A straightforward and skilled communicator with a flexible and pragmatic approach, they will have demonstrable experience of working collaboratively with partners, stakeholders and customers. They will also bring experience of creating and implementing new working practices or systems to deliver objectives, leading and managing projects, budgets and teams. Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience in a relevant role and ideally membership of an appropriate professional or industry body. They will have the ability to plan and prioritise a complex workload and be comfortable working with a wide range of audiences to effectively promote Bield and our Brand. A Full driving licence is an essential requirement of the role.
