A police dog located a ‘vulnerable’ Scots pensioner who had been reported missing from a caravan park.
Michael Connolly, 79, was reported missing from Seton Sands Holiday Park in East Lothian at around 6pm on Wednesday, June 26.
As concern grew for the man the canine, PD Sully, was called into action and found Michael in a field on Thursday. He is now being supported by the relevant authorities.
Posting on X, formally known as Twitter, Police Scotland praised the ‘amazing’ dog and its handler.
A spokesperson for the force said: “PD Sully was amazing today, finding a missing, vulnerable, 79-year-old male who’d been missing for hours in East Lothian.
“Sully found him in a field and he’s now being supported. Great job by the handler & Sully who we took on as a rescue dog.”
