Iconic 90s band head for Scotland in massive anniversary tour

AN iconic 90s band is heading for Scotland as part of their anniversary tour across the UK.

The decade was well known for its indie sounds .

Shed Seven are heading out on the road
Their last album A Matter Of Time went to number one

And Shed Seven was one of the biggest outifts of the era, with hits like Chasing Rainbows, Going for Gold and Disco Down.

Earlier this year the band landed their first ever number one album  A Matter of Time.

Now they are back with a new record Liquid Gold, which has orchestral reworks of some of their classic tracks.

And they’re heading on tour to mark 30 years since their first album, Change Giver, was released.

As part of the show-run, the band, who formed in York in 1990, is playing three Scottish venues in November – Aberdeen Music Hall and the 02 Academies in both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

They have already sold more than 45,000 tickets for this autumn’s anniversary tour, with many dates sold-out and with less than 10 per cent of tickets remaining for select shows.

The band is now made up of Rick Witter on vocals, Paul Banks on guitar and Tom Gladwin on bass, as well as newer recruits Rob Maxfield on drums and Tim Wills on piano.

They are playing a number of in-store events in September and October ahead of the album launch.

Each store will be treated to a stripped back performance from the band followed by a signing and meet and greet session.

Unfortunately none of these will be in Scotland.
