Incredible moment Scottish Championship star passes the ball to express train
AIRDRIEONIANS’ pre-season campaign got off to a rather bizarre start, as a MOVING TRAIN decided to take it’s opportunity to show off it’s ball skills.
Rhys McCabe’s side kicked off their season with a trip to Northern Ireland to take on Crusaders.
The incident took place when Airdrie defender, Mason Hancock, cleared a looping ball over the top out of the stadium.
But in a strange turn of events, a moving Belfast train took it’s chance to impress the crowd, by returning the ball to the pitch with a stunning half-volley.
The moment took the Airdrie cameraman by surprise, and he was more than impressed by it’s first touch.
The club took to social media to share the moment, posting on their twitter account.

“Not quite the neat one-two we described at the time… but you can’t deny the train has a lovely touch for a big man!”
Fans were impressed and amused by the vehicle’s ball skills, with one even calling for the club to make it their next summer transfer.
One wrote: “Sign the train up.”
Another said: “Header of the pre-season for both teams!”
A third wrote: “A ‘pass’-enger train I presume?”
Airdrie have kicked off their 2024/25 preparation by getting busy in the transfer market early on.
They lost star players in Josh Rae to St Johnstone, and Cammy Ballantyne to Morton.
But, they have already completed the signings of eleven players this summer.
Lewis McGrattan, Aaron Reid, Aidan Wilson, Rhys Armstrong, Ben Wilson, Cameron Cooper, Murray Johnson, Cammy Bruce, Murray Aiken, Dylan MacDonald, and Terrell Agyemang have all committed to the Diamonds this season.
