Irn Bru plane spotted over Glasgow as optimism for Scotland Euros opener sky high
Eagle-eyed Scotland fans may have spotted a good omen in the sky over Glasgow this week ahead of the big game on Friday.
As Scotland go head-to-head with Germany tomorrow evening (June 14) the Irn-Bru team having been spreading some optimism among locals.
Taking the buzz of the to new heights, the plane soared over the Central Belt proudly displaying the message of ‘BRULIEVE #WeCan’ – eagle-eyed members of the public may have spotted the aircraft as it flew above major landmarks.
It marks the latest stunt from the soft drink brand as it celebrates optimism sweeping the nation for the team’s fortunes in Germany.

Kenny Nicholson, Head of Brand at IRN-BRU said: “This is one of the biggest games Scotland have played for decades and the nation is well and truly behind them. We BRULIEVE We-Can and know fans do as well, so we’re all really looking forward to kick-off.”
It comes after Irn-Bru launched their ‘We Can’ Summer 2024 campaign, consisting of hilarious adverts and stunts such as hanging ‘We Can’ Irn-Bru boxers on washing lines across the country.
Scotland open their campaign in the Euros opening match against hosts Germany in Munich, at the Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena tomorrow evening.
Steve Clarke’s side will then play a second group stage match against Switzerland Matchday Two will see Switzerland at the Rhein Energie Stadion in Cologne, home of F.C Koln, on June 19.
Their third group match on June 23, will see them face Hungary in Stuttgart at the MHP Arena on June 23.
The final will take place a month later at the Olympiastadion in Germany’s capital Berlin.
